Ride Three Newly Paved Trails on Sunday, March 30 – No Fooling!

An April Fool’s bike ride through Malden, Everett, Medford and Arlington will be held on Sunday, March 30.

The ride starts at 10 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the Dockside Restaurant, 229 Centre St., in Malden and continues south along the Northern Strand Community Trail.

It then continues along the Mystic River Reservation paths through Medford Square, to the Alewife Brook Greenway. From there it travels along the Alewife Linear Park/Somerville Community Path onto local streets, eventually turning back along the Malden River through River’s Edge Park.

The ride features three newly paved trails: the Malden and Everett portion of the Northern Strand Community Trail, the Wellington Greenway in Medford, and the Alewife Brook Greenway Trail in Arlington. The 15-mile route is flat and should be easy to ride. It is expected to take about two hours.

The event will be cancelled if there is steady rain. For more information contact Pete Sutton at beausutt@hotmail.com.
