Volunteers Perform A “Flash Trash Cleanup” in Malden

[Not a valid template]
Bike to the Sea board members and volunteers cleaned up the Malden section of the Northern Strand Community Trail on Saturday, April 18.  The cleanup was organized quickly last week to make it easier to pick up trash before the brush grows back in.

Earlier in the day, Bike to the Sea members helped with a neighborhood cleanup in Lynn.

Volunteers Needed For Cleanup in Revere

More volunteers are needed this Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon to clean up the Revere portion of the trail. Those interested in helping out can park in Linden Square over the city line in Malden, near the intersection of Wesley and Lynn streets. From there, they should follow signs along the newly paved trail east toward Revere and Route 1.

The cleanup will include picking up debris along the trail and painting over graffiti on the underside of the Route 1 bridge. Participants should wear long pants, boots and gloves. Bike to the Sea, Inc, will provide tools and snacks. Children 16, and younger, must be accompanied by an adult.
