Bike to the Sea and the Saugus River Watershed Council are joining forces on Saturday, April 27 to clean up the Saugus River section of the Northern Strand Trail near the Lynn line.
Volunteers interested in helping out should meet behind the former O’Brien’s Restaurant, 829 Boston St., in Lynn, anytime between 9 a.m. and noon.
Participants should wear boots and bring gloves. Bike to the Sea will provide water, tools, and trash bags. Pizza will also be provided after the cleanup.
Several Bike to the Sea board members will be present. This is a good opportunity to beautify the path and to find out about progress being made on designing/building the trail.
