Last October, Bike to the Sea hired our first part-time Program Manager, Agnes Recato.
In the eleven months since then, Agnes has planned nearly 30 events, helped run our most successful membership drive in history, packed our newsletter and social media with content, and contributed to two successful grant applications.
Thanks to the generosity of our Flagship Sponsors, the Solomon Foundation and Hub Luv, we raised $50,000 toward a full-time position for Agnes. Now an anonymous donor has granted us $15,000 to help close our funding gap but we need your matching donations to finish the job!
Is this a one-time donation?
Yes! Our Flagship Sponsors and an anonymous donor contributed to the first year of the Program Manager position, due to their own funding cycles. Our goal is to leverage those contributions with grassroots funding from our members to show our sponsors we have community support for growing our organization’s capacity.
Once year one is funded, Bike to the Sea will pursue more sustainable multi-year funding from our sponsors. But today, you are only committing to the one-time donation ask.
What’s included in the full-time position?
This position includes a salary that matches similar positions in our partner organizations like the Mystic Valley Watershed Association and Livable Streets Alliance. It also includes a healthcare benefit, home office stipend, professional development funds, a bicycle “commuting” stipend, payroll taxes, workers compensation, and payroll processing fees.
