Dr. Brian Sutton is a lifelong Massachusetts resident, currently living in Westfield. His three-month cross-country bicycle trip raised funds for his local organization, the Friends of the Columbia Greenway. Taking a well-earned sabbatical from the Covid-era medical profession, hear about his once-in-a-lifetime adventure and inspiring experiences seeing the entire United States from the seat of a bicycle.
In the summer of 2023, Brian Sutton set off to conquer the Great American Rail Trail, cycling coast-to-coast 3700 miles from Washington state to Washington DC. Along the way, “Doc” Sutton experienced the work-in-progress firsthand, including challenging terrain, unpredictable weather and the occasional detour onto interstate highway! Daily social media posts kept friends and family informed of his progress, with his local craft beer reviews becoming a huge hit.
Please register in advance! – There is a 100-person limit – we sold out of tickets last year so save your spot today! Any questions can be directed to our Board Members, Pat Bibbins at patbibbins@gmail.com or Linda Sullivan at lscolssul@msn.com
