A sold-out crowd of 75 people attended Bike to the Sea’s annual meeting at K Pub Kitchen & Bar in Saugus on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024.
Board members were elected before a buffet dinner of pub and asian food was set up, followed by presentations from Executive Director Jonah Chiarenza and board member Peter Sutton.
Bike to the Sea’s 2024 board members are President Pat Bibbins, Vice-President Dan Krechmer, Secretary Tai Lam, Treasurer Gary Chin, SüSi Ecker, Bob FitzPatrick, Jeff Garfinkle, Janet Green, Claudia LaFontaine, Ginny Mullen, Pete Sutton, and Meagan Witter.
Board member Ginny Mullen brought a cake with a replica of the Bike Kitchen site in Malden.Board member Pete Sutton gave updates on the trail, including connecting it over the river to Assembly Row in Somerville. He said work on that could begin as soon as next year.Executive Director Jonah Chiarenza provided statistics on Bike to the Sea’s work over the past year, including the fact that it held some 65 events.
