Residents and commuters will have multiple opportunities this spring to learn about and shape a major redesign of the Lynnway corridor, a key transportation route in Lynn. See the poster below for all the opportunities!
The MBTA, City of Lynn, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) are advancing plans to make the corridor safer, more accessible, and better connected for all users. Officials say the proposed improvements aim to reduce traffic risks, enhance public transit, and create a more welcoming environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
Community members are invited to attend one of four upcoming open house events, where project teams will present the draft design and gather public feedback. Attendees can expect to learn about planned safety upgrades, improvements to bus service, modernization of traffic signals, and enhancements to the surrounding public space.
Each open house will feature the same information, allowing participants to choose the session that best fits their schedule. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual public meeting option on May 14 from 6-7:30pm, will also be available.
Organizers emphasize that public input will play a key role in refining the project before final plans are developed.
